ABOUT
In the Emmy Award-winning PBS documentary My Body to Love, filmmaker Preeti Deb invites viewers into the intimate worlds of four young Americans as they reflect on their bodies, relationships, and sexuality.
Through a blend of whimsical animation, archival photos, and present-day footage, their stories come vividly to life.
This 27-minute film is designed to be shared in Screening & Sharing community events—interactive gatherings where audiences can engage in thoughtful conversations around key topics: Healthy Relationships, Changing Bodies, Sexuality & Identity, Values & Culture, and Digital Safety.
Using a grassroots distribution model, My Body to Love offers valuable insights for adults, caregivers, and educators striving to support teens in developing safe, confident, and connected relationships—with themselves and others.

MY BODY TO LOVE Connections -
A Screening & Sharing Event
The My Body to Love Connections event is designed to build trust and empathy within parent groups, and provide perspectives and insights on how to nurture frequent and honest conversations that fuel healthy and safe relationships for their children.
The short documentary films in MY BODY TO LOVE use the power of personal stories to reflect on universal themes of sexuality, belonging, acceptance and relationships. The sharing circle helps extend those insights to real life situations.
Over 85% of audience members leave the event feeling like they have more tools and greater commitment to talk about “Healthy vs Unhealthy relationships” with their children.
And over 60% of audience members say they will talk more openly & frequently about sex & sexuality with their children and cultivate themselves as “trusted adults” after the event.
We offer two options for screenings.
Sharing Circle: We recommend having 8-20 adults in attendance for a screening + sharing circle. We find this format works well for groups of friends, members of a book club, co-workers or a group that is familiar with each other.
Community Screening: Recommended for groups of 30+. Whether a movie theater experience, a community event at a school’s MPR or an online event, our team will make it easy for you to host a screening and conduct a Q&A. This works well for conferences, schools’ parent nights, church/temple events, library events etc.
